Pho 99 in Bellingham, Washington

As you may have noticed I love pho! Pho is a Vietnamese noodle bowl. This is another place in Bellingham where you can get pho. This is the place we go most often because it is very close to where we live. The first time we went here we asked them if they had vegan pho. They said they did and that every bowl of pho has a vegan soup base. The vegetarian pho (Pho Chay) comes in either a small or large. A small pho is usually enough for me and it is only $6.75. It contains noodles, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and tofu. It is served with bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos, and Thai basil. I love putting hoisin sauce on top! This pho is very good. They serve you free hot tea with your meal.

Vegetarians and Vegans can also get a vermicelli bowl with grilled tofu without soup and the vegetarian spring rolls. They also have fruit smoothies.

The people who work here are very nice! They remember you if you are a regular customer. If you are a regular customer you can get a punch card. If you buy 9 adult entrees you get 1 free.

The decor is old and it isn’t the cleanest restaurant.

Pho 99 is open Monday to Sunday 10 am to 10 pm. They do not deliver but you can get take-out. They are located at 3503 Byron St. which is close to Western and Sehome Village.

*The 99 means that the restaurant opened in 1999.
