Shenandoah National Park

Kyle and I drove through Shenandoah National Park on our way to Asheville. The mountains in the east are so much different from the ones in the west. These mountains are like rolling hills and everything is so green. We mainly drove, stopped at viewpoints, went to the visitor center and camped 1 night.

•just 75 miles from Washington D.C.

•200,000 acres of protected land

•The park is best known for Skyline Drive, a 105 mile road that runs the entire length of the park along the ridge of the mountains. 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail are also in the park.
